Sonepat is another Haryana town that is on the fast track to progress primarily due to its proximity to Delhi and also prominent cities of Rohtak, Jind and Panipat. Popularly known as the 'Emerging Gurgaon of the West', the city has witnessed a major upswing in real estate and infrastructural developments in the past decade.
Sonepat, which falls on one of the busiest national highways just 2.5 km from Delhi, today boasts of the best of residential and commercial facilities. With the Delhi Metro network soon expected to reach Sonepat, the city is set to receive even higher investment inflow in the realty and business sectors. |

- KMP expressway: A fast paced project of 135.6 km that will ease inter- and intra-state traffic to a great extent and will greatly reduce travel time from Sonepat to Delhi
- Extended metro connectivity: The Haryana government's decision to extend the metro network to Sonepat has contributed to an upswing of activities by domestic as well as foreign investors.
- Education Hub: Kundli and Sonepat will soon become education hubs with foreign universities setting up campuses here and an IIM being set up in the near future.
