Moradabad is a prominent commercial town of North India. Situated at a distance of 167 km from Delhi, the city is famous for its beautiful brass handicrafts. In fact, Moradabad has an international distinction of being among the largest centers for copper-ware export in the world.

In recent years, the city has seen massive development in all spheres. Traditional businesses have now converted into industrial export houses. There has also been a massive spurt of several posh high-end societies and townships across the city.

  • Impetus on urban housing: Moradabad Development Authority (MDA) has recently created New Moradabad adding 16 new sectors on 900 acres of land.
  • Tourism Hub: Government has plans to develop Garhmukteshwar near Moradabad on the lines of Hardwar.
  • Improvisation of infrastructure: The doubling of railway line from Delhi to Moradabad is now almost complete.
